Every nature lover should see the Northern Lights at least once in their lifetime. Likewise, every landscape photographer should have at least one photo of her in his portfolio. Now you have an excellent opportunity for it! Do not miss the photo expedition, which will take place in an area where this rare phenomenon occurs very often - in the beautiful fjords of the Norwegian Lofoten Islands. Lofoten is a place full of traditional fishing villages, majestic rock peaks rising directly from the ocean and endless beaches. Especially in winter, when the mountains and cliffs are covered with fresh snow, this place is a real paradise for a landscape photographer. In addition to photographing the aurora borealis, we will of course also focus on sunrises and sunsets - thanks to this, this photo expedition will be an unforgettable experience for you!
Why did we choose this date for the expedition? February is the time when Lofoten Islands are extremely photogenic. During this month we'll have a great chance to observe and photograph the aurora borealis. Simply put, february is the perfect time for a landscape photographer to visit this beautiful country.
During our Lofoten photo expedition, we will visit most beautiful places of this area. But not only the "must see" spots. We will also take you to unknown places that we discovered during our previous visits. Thanks to this, you will have exceptional photos in your portfolio.
We will personally help you capture the best possible images during our photography tour. Two experienced lecturers who know the photographed places very well will be at your disposal the whole time. You can therefore be sure that you will always be in the right place at the right time. In addition, tour leaders will be at your disposal 24/7 during the entire expedition. They will pass on their valuable knowledge, thanks to which they are internationally recognized on the photography scene.
TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
(February 16.)
After your arrival at the airport, we’ll pick you up and head to our accommodation. Throughout the entire photo tour, we’ll be staying in iconic Norwegian cabins in one of the fjords in the heart of the Lofoten Islands. Once we arrive, we’ll have a welcome evening to get to know each other, and if conditions allow, we’ll photograph the Northern Lights near our accommodation.

DAY 2
(February 17.)
In the morning, we’ll start by photographing the iconic fishing cabins on the islet of Hamnøy, with majestic, sharp mountains in the background. This location offers countless interesting compositions where you can capture world-class photos! After lunch, we’ll move on to another spot where you’ll be able to fully soak in the Nordic atmosphere while enjoying views of the beautiful Kirkefjord and the yellow cabins on the islet of Sakrisøy.

DAY 3
(February 18.)
In the morning, we’ll head out to capture the sunrise and golden hour in the northern village of Reine, where you’ll have the chance to witness another of Lofoten’s iconic views. During the golden hour, we’ll move a bit further to Djupfjord, where we’ll find more interesting compositions.
For lunch, we’ll stop at a local restaurant where you can try some traditional fish specialties. In the afternoon, there will be time to relax and edit photos from the first two days. We’ll end the day with an evening shoot at the nearby Skagsanden beach, and if the skies are clear, we’ll stay to photograph the Northern Lights.

DAY 4
(February 19.)
In the morning, we’ll head to another fascinating fjord, known for its shallow water that freezes over each morning, creating interesting ice formations with reflections of sharp mountain peaks in the background. After sunrise, we’ll drive a few kilometers to a photogenic waterfall.
In the evening, we’ll stop by the village of Ramberg, where we’ll find more captivating compositions.

DAYS 5-6
(February 20. - 21.)
During the fifth and sixth days, we’ll focus on exploring more of the unique beaches that the Lofoten area is known for. We’ll move closer to the town of Leknes, where we’ll visit Haukland Beach, Vik Beach, and the famous Uttakleiv Beach, known for its unusual rock formations and photogenic mountains in the background.
We’ll also visit more local restaurants to taste traditional specialties. If the skies are clear, we’ll once again chase the Northern Lights from some of these beaches.

DAYS 7-8
(February 22. - 23.)
In the morning, we’ll photograph a few interesting spots near our accommodation. One of them will be the fjord beyond the Fredvang bridges, which becomes truly photogenic during the golden hour. We’ll also focus on telephoto photography, allowing us to highlight captivating mountain details. After the shoot, we’ll spend some time editing photos from the previous days. You’ll receive a recorded post-processing lesson with audio so you can revisit it later at home.
In the late afternoon, we’ll head toward the airport, where we’ll spend the final night of our photo expedition at an airport hotel, ensuring everyone can comfortably prepare for the journey home.
